
THOMAS E. HONE
Thomas E. Hone is a partner of the firm, and he graduated from Boston College (B.A. 1986) and St.
John's University School of Law (J.D. 1990), where he was an editor
of the St. John's Journal of Legal Commentary. Mr. Hone is
admitted to practice in the state courts of New York, the United
States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of
New York, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second
Circuit. Mr. Hone joined the firm in 1997 after working in the New
York offices of Winston & Strawn for two years and Edwards &
Angell for four years.
Mr. Hone's practice focuses on litigating and successfully resolving
a wide range of general civil and commercial disputes. His experience
at the trial and appellate court levels, as well as in mediation
and arbitration, includes employment-related matters, an assortment
of contract disputes, art-related litigation, fraud and RICO claims,
product liability issues, trade secrets and a variety of other commercial
matters.
Through his representation of a nationally recognized association,
Mr. Hone developed a specialty in service mark enforcement and litigation.
In addition, Mr. Hone has represented banks holding pools of loans,
as well as individual notes, mortgages, guarantees and other instruments,
through which he developed a specialty in creditors' rights, lender
liability issues, mortgage foreclosures, and fraudulent conveyance
laws.
