EMPLOYMENT PRACTICE
Through our litigation practice, we have developed a specialty
in employment-related matters in which we have represented employees,
high-level executives, accountants, attorneys, doctors, business
partners and other individuals in a variety of disputes that arise
in the employment context. Those matters typically stem from actual
or potential breaches of employment, partnership or other agreements,
possible discrimination based on age, sex, race or disability, often
involve "Cause" or "Good Reason" terminations
as defined in the applicable agreements, and implicate non-compete,
non-solicitation and other post-employment issues. We have acted
as advisors behind the scenes when that was more beneficial to our
clients, and we have stepped in at a moment's notice to affirmatively
and zealously represent our clients. These matters are often resolved
prior to litigation through the firm's negotiation of separation
agreements. The firm also negotiates employment, partnership and
related agreements for individuals entering into new business relationships.
