Our commercial litigators represent both plaintiffs and defendants, primarily in New York’s state and federal courts, as well as in arbitrations typically conducted by the American Arbitration Association, JAMS and FINRA. We litigate all types of business-related issues, and our cases regularly involve claims of breach of contract and/or fiduciary duty, fraud, negligent misrepresentation, promissory estoppel, and professional liability. Many of our cases also involve claims between business partners, shareholders in closely-held corporations and members of limited liability companies (including intra-family business disputes).
Our litigation approach is centered on lean and cost-efficient staffing of cases, and we remain focused throughout the litigation and discovery process of readying our client’s case for trial. At the same time, however, we understand well the costs and risks inherent in litigation, and for this reason we do not hesitate to recommend and pursue a reasonable settlement of claims asserted by or against our clients, where appropriate.
